What is the best way to use BeeRepel?

Application Details:

We have identified three main types of bees and wasps that frequently use pools as water sources:

1.    Honeybees
2.    Paper Wasps
3.    Common Wasps/Hornets

Honeybees:
Honeybees are not adept swimmers. They typically cling to the edges of water sources while gathering water. If they fall in, they attempt to “doggy paddle” back to the edge for safety. When BeeRepel is used, if a honeybee falls into the water, it will drown quickly and be unable to swim to safety. To prevent honeybees from gathering water at the pool's edge, use a spray bottle to apply a mixture of BeeRepel and water to those areas. Honey Bees are creatures of habit, so consistent treatment is necessary to deter them from using your pool. We recommend daily treatment of pool and spraying areas they like to cling to.   This can take up to 2 weeks for full eradication.   Providing an alternative water source, such as a bucket of water with chlorine or salt, can also help. Bees can smell the chemicals used to treat and clean pools, such as chlorine and salt, more than they can smell clean water. Bees love the smell of these chemicals.   This would include Sweat Bees as well.

Sweat Bees can be extremely annoying and come in numbers.   Sweat Bees are creatures of habit, so consistent treatment is necessary to deter them from using your pool. We recommend daily treatment of pool.   This can take up to 2 weeks for full eradication.

Paper Wasps:  Paper Wasps are more skilled at landing on water surfaces with long back legs. With BeeRepel in the water, they will detect a difference and search for safer-looking water spots. Pool pumps or water features can disturb the BeeRepel on the surface, creating landing spots for these wasps. To increase the effectiveness of BeeRepel against these insects, turn off water features during treatment. Paper Wasps learn quickly; a few drownings will deter the rest from approaching your pool.

Common Wasps/Hornets:  Common wasps tend to fly down and land directly on the water's surface to drink. When BeeRepel is added to the pool, they will not be able to land successfully and will sink and drown. BeeRepel is extremely effective for these insects, and the infestation should decrease rapidly. However, depending on the severity of the infestation, it may take up to three weeks for complete elimination. You will notice fewer wasps visiting and more of them drowning as you continue using BeeRepel.
